City Social Welfare and Development Office

By virtue of Republic Act 7160 the Local Government Code of 1991, the deliveries of basic social welfare programs and services was transferred from Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to Cabanatuan City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) under the Local Government Unit. This was done through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed last August 12, 1992 between DSWD Secretary Alma de Leon, late Cabanatuan City Mayor Honorato C. Perez, and DSWD Cabanatuan City OIC, Edilberto F. Corpuz.

To effectively implement social protection and welfare programs and services that alleviate plight of the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, families and communities to achieve optimum quality of life.

  • Formulation and advocacy of a just and responsible social welfare and development, legislative agenda, policies and plans as well as ensuring their effective implementations.
  • Identification, development and marketing of technologies for building up social capital.
  • Setting up and development of social welfare and development of standards to protect rights of the poor and disadvantaged to quality services.
  • Provision of preventive, protective, rehabilitative and developments programs and services.
